1. Apataki | First starter and ran in three trials. Awkwardly drawn. Watch betting. |
2. Divine Courage | Finished strongly to end up midfield last start at Rockhampton and placed at trial since last race 22 days ago. Should run fitter for two previous outings. Rates as one of the key chances. |
3. The Kelly Gang | Faded to finish eighth at only start at Sunshine Coast Poly and Ryan Bishop not a regular jockey for this trainer. Looking elsewhere. |
4. Darabaz | Has struggled in both runs so far this campaign but drawn perfectly. An untried jockey and trainer combination. Not in this. |
5. Wicked'n' Lovin'it | Was able to place at long odds last start at Doomben on a soft track but wide barrier is a concern. Has placed in two runs from three this campaign but appears tested. |
6. Arcarius | Finished midfield last start at Doomben on a heavy track when first up and ran 10th at Sunshine Coast when last second-up. One for wider exotics. |
7. Miss Happy Hour | Finished in the middle of the pack last start at Gold Coast on a soft track and has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. Should run fitter for two previous outings. Can surprise. |
8. Far Reaching | Back from let-up and first race for Michael Morrison. Placed at last trial at this track. One of the main hopes. |
9. Redheads Rock | Resumes from a long 68 week spell and having first start for a new trainer. Trialled at Gold Coast. Serious player. |
10. Game Star | First-up after 27 week break and has the benefit of a Deagon trial. Needs a few starts to get warm. Look to others. |
11. My Miss Moonpie | In the money last start running second at Gold Coast on a heavy track but the good track not a benefit. Has placed in two runs from four this campaign. Not the worst. |
12. Zattastar | Placed as a favourite last start at Dalby on a soft track and should run fitter for past attempts. Among the main chances. |
