3. Rycam Lad	First-up after 24 week break. Did nothing to threaten at only start at Yarra Valley and trialled at Tatura. This looks too strong.
4. Snappy Jim	First-up after 24 week break and could struggle from a wide barrier draw. Looking elsewhere.
5. Wild Komodo	Mitchell Freedman debutant and has not trialled. Watch betting.
6. Bella Sorellina	Let-up for six weeks. Finished in the middle of the pack last start at Mornington when resuming. Genuine contender.

11. Witness Ex	Still a maiden after 12 starts and beaten easily last start at Bendigo on a heavy track when fresh. Expected to settle just off the speed. Seems unlikely.
12. Spanish Stroll	In the money at only start running third at Spendthrift Australia Park. Expected to be a contender.
