Runner Comments

1. DaybreakerA 17 start maiden and faded to finish nine lengths off the winner last start at Swan Hill. Likely to race off the speed. Looks tested.
2. EquinoxStill a maiden after 38 starts but has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. An untried jockey and trainer combination. Prefer others.
3. Illusion DateFinished four lengths back at only start at Hamilton but drawn the rails. Commands respect.
4. KutayhaNarrowly beaten when heavily backed at only start at Cranbourne on a soft track. Big chance.
5. Square DonutCame on to finish just behind midfield last start at Swan Hill when resuming but placed at Launceston in only second-up attempt. Generally settles back in the field. Place hope.
6. ChilulaPlaced last start at Wangaratta when first up and generally strong second-up placing at Bendigo last second-up attempt. Up in distance. Should fight out the finish.
7. Diamond MomentsNever in the hunt but last half of the race was best 5.4L at Cranbourne F&M Mdn-Sw over 1200m. Got past a few horses late for fifth but never a threat from so far back 3.2L at Geelong 3Yf Mdn-Sw over 1325m Soft 5.
8. DramadaleWeakened out of the race after doing a lot of chasing 13.6L at Echuca Mdn-Sw over 1200m Soft 7. Under pressure to make ground and not competitive 10.1L at Swan Hill 4Yo+Mdn-Sw over 1200m.
9. French HeiressResumes after a 20 week spell and resumes well running second at Benalla when last first-up. Returns to shorter trip. One for wider exotics.
10. Jimmy GirlReturns from 12 week let-up and has the speed to overcome a very wide draw. Solid claims.
11. Lady CellarbrationStill a maiden after 16 starts and beaten by 12 lengths last start at Cranbourne. Down in distance. Appears safely held.
12. Lady ConcettaTrailed the leaders midfield however never improved thereon sixth 6.3L at Wodonga 4Yo+ Mdn-Sw over 1200m Soft 5. Got back worse than midfield and was pushed along to make ground 9.2L at Wangaratta Mdn-Sw over 1400m Soft 5.
13. Gimme a ReasonFinished midfield last start at Swan Hill when fresh and ran fifth at Wangaratta in only second-up attempt. 2kg claim should help but still unlikely.
14. Danger in the PastYet to break out of maiden grade after 10 attempts and ran seven lengths back from the winner last start at Swan Hill. Drawn no favours. Prefer to watch go around.
15. DolciRaced midfield, tried hard to run on but left flat-footed when fifth 6L at Ballarat F&M Mdn-Sw over 1400m. Stalked the speed, under the whip to make ground struggling into fifth 4.8L at Ballarat Mdn-Sw over 1400m Synthetic.
