1. Tamarack	Has placed in two runs from eight this campaign and proven perfromer on a soft track. Trialled in the 35 days since last run. Must respect.
2. Buckeye Nation	Short back-up of seven days and is yet to salute in four runs this prep. Looking elsewhere.
3. Cheners	Only just missed last start, finishing a neck back from the winner at Sale on a heavy track and large claim helps. Won once this prep at Hamilton five runs back. Not the worst.
4. Tolemac	Last start winner at Hamilton and Ronan Short a bonus. Probably wins
5. Pueblo	Can't knock the form with two wins from seven attempts this campaign but ran ninth last start at Geelong. Appears safely held.
6. Onset	Can't knock the form with two wins from 11 attempts this campaign and coming off a win at Sale. 3kg claim should help. Among the chances.
7. Yulong Rising	Disappointed when only placing as favourite last start at Sale on a heavy track but trial in the 18 days since last run could help. Should run fitter for two previous outings. Should go well.
