1. Lord Whitegate	Resumes from a 13 week spell and prepped well, winning last trial convincingly at this track. Ran fourth at Devonport Synthetic when last first-up. Must respect.
2. Redollix	Back after 14 week break and first run for a new trainer. Generally strong first-up placing at Bendigo last attempt. Hard to go past.
3. Gee Gees Buzz	Finished four lengths back last start at Devonport Synthetic and won once this prep at the track two runs back. Claim helps but unlikely.
4. Dawn Eagle	Back from 23 week spell and undefefeated in two lead-up trials. Generally strong first-up placing at Launceston last attempt. Can threaten.
5. Dreaming Toronado	Won once this prep at Launceston three runs back and down in trip. Anthony Darmanin a bonus but still unlikely.
6. Silent Dreamer	Back after 18 week break and placed in Longford trial but could need a few starts to get going. Prefer others.
7. Queen's The Word	Won at big odds last start to break maiden at Devonport Synthetic when fresh. Well placed.
8. Dadorable	Placed last start at Devonport Synthetic when fresh but no wins in six past runs at the track. Rates highly with Daniel Ganderton aboard but not in this.
9. Captain Dave	Faded to finish five lengths off the winner last start at Launceston but takes a 3kg claim. Likely to race on the speed. Sneaky chance.
10. Gee Gee Real Deal	Finished one and a half lengths off the winner last start at Devonport Synthetic. Drawn perfectly. Has placed in six runs from 12 this campaign. Big chance.
