1. Vespertine	Ran three lengths back from the winner last start at Flemington and 3kg claim should help. Won once this prep at Caulfield five runs back. Commands respect.
2. Butter Chicken	Resumes from a 30 week spell and resumes well. Gets a nice run behind a genuine tempo. Genuine contender.
3. Need New Friends	Ran sixth last start at Sandown Hillside on a heavy track when resuming and concern is the wide barrier. Without a win in four runs at Flemington. Forward showing no surprise.
4. Saigon	Narrowly beaten at long odds last start at Sandown Hillside on a heavy track when resuming. Gets a nice run behind a genuine tempo and wide barrier is a concern but still go well.
5. Laffalong	Beaten easily last start at Sandown Hillside on a heavy track when resuming but comes to hand quickly and won at Cranbourne when last second-up. Likely to race just off the speed. Not in this.
6. Witchfulthinking	Amongst the placegetters last start running second at Oakbank and two from four wins have been in the dry. Patrick Moloney has had success aboard previously. Perfectly placed.
7. It's Kind Of Magic	On a seven day back-up. Unwanted by the market but right up there last start at Caulfield and has two placings from six runs this prep. Place.
8. The Stylist	Short back-up of seven days. Faded to finish 11th last start at Caulfield but placed in three of four at Flemington before. Rough claims.
9. Tripoli	Back from 29 week spell and having first run for a new trainer. Might need the run. Prefer to watch go around.
10. Adele Amour	Winner at Caulfield and placed once this prep. Draws to do no work. Won't be far away in the run. Well placed.
11. Tilianam	Unplaced in all five runs this prep and faded to finish sixth last start at Warrnambool. All wins have come when faced with dry ground. Rough claims.
12. Gunna Gunna	Winner despite being unwanted in the betting last start at Geelong on a soft track but rises to metro class. Has three wins from seven attempts this campaign but appears tested.
