1. Boris The Blade	Only just missed last start, finishing half a length back from the winner at Hobart. David Pires and Scott Brunton are a proven combination. Should run fitter for two previous outings. Should be right in the finish.
2. Lord Browning	Returns from six week let-up. Finished seventh at only start at Devonport and awkwardly drawn. Unlikely.
3. Society Bill	Kept chasing and just missed last start at Hobart. Has two placings from four runs this prep. Likely to race on the speed. Commands respect.
4. Zotti	First starter and good to go after placing in two trials. Claim should help. Watch the market.
5. Detour De Horse	Faded to finish 11th at only start at Launceston and carrying more weight. Outsider.
6. Gee Gee Baracus	Back from 20 week spell and placed when trialling at Longford. Drawn the rails. Winning chance.
7. He's Our Splashy	First starter and ran in two trials. Concern is the wide barrier. Market as guide.
