1. Gregorian Chant	Back from let-up and returns to shorter trip. Track specialist winning four times at Launceston but still outsider.
2. Pristine Image	Amongst the placegetters first two attempts this prep and came on strong when just beaten last start at Hobart. Claim helps. Don�t dismiss.
3. Border Protection	Finished in the middle of the pack last start at Devonport Synthetic. Erica Byrne Burke and Adam Trinder are a proven combination. Won once this prep at Devonport Synthetic three runs back. Cannot rule out.
4. Reward Achiever	Placed in first start this prep and has very strong form at Launceston. Won four of 11 as a favourite. At least a place chance here.
5. Tavisplash	Returns from six week let-up and has very strong form at Launceston. Proven on softer tracks. Hard to hold out.
6. The Master Speed	Back from let-up and drawn ideally. Has placed in two runs from five this campaign. One for wider exotics.
7. Gee Gee Silentnite	Finished worse than midfield last start at Devonport Synthetic when resuming and no wins in six past runs at Launceston. Won't be far away in the run. Outsider.
8. Captain Morgan	Did nothing to threaten last start at Devonport Synthetic when first up. Likely to race off the speed and ran second at Devonport Synthetic when last second-up. Hard to have.
9. Stefanidi	Has placed in four runs from six this campaign and chased well to fall just short last start at Devonport Synthetic. Likely to race off the speed. Rates as one of the key chances.
