3. Jungle Magnate | Made it two wins from three this preparation with a strong finishing win in the Chairman's Stakes at Morphettville last start. Goes to 2500m but races like the trip won't be an issue.

4. Commander Harry | Has been placed last two at Sandown Lakeside and Mornington. Has at least place prospects again.

5. Harleymoven | Won successive races before coming from well back when second in the Chairman's Stakes last start. Races like he will lap up 2500m and a winning chance.

6. Detonator Jack | Puts an unbeaten record on the line after three straight wins. Goes from a benchmark 78 at Sandown Lakeside to a Group I but hard to knock the winning form.

7. The Nephew | Won the Tasmanian Derby earlier in the preparation but has been beaten in three subsequent outings contesting benchmark races. Comes back to his own age and has place prospects from a good gate.

8. Son Of Emperor | Beaten out of sight in the Chairman's Stakes last start and would need to find plenty to be a genuine winning chance.

9. Saint Tropez | Was placed in the Chairman's Stakes last start but will need plenty of luck from the wide gate if he is to be in the finish.

10. Water Into Wine | Has won three from six although a benchmark 64 win at Geelong last start doesn't look the form reference for a Derby.

11. Yaphet | Benchmark 64 win at Sale two back doesn't look good enough.

12. King Of Pharaohs | Well beaten at Warrnambool last start and would need to find something to be a genuine winning chance.

13. Claidheamh Mor | Made it two wins from six starts winning a class two at Mornington last start, going well but a Group I Derby might be aiming a touch high at this stage of his career.

14. Sebastian The Fox | Won a benchmark 58 at Kilmore two back but doubt that is the form reference for a Group I Derby.

15. Phere The Ex | Maiden winner at Cranbourne two back but looks to be aiming way to high at this level.

16. Lady Chant | Was placed in the WA Oaks three back but well beaten last two. Gets a soft run from the gate and can place.

17. Texas Tea | Kiwi which didn't have much luck at first Australian start when third at Mornington but would still need to find plenty to be a genuine winning chance.
