1. Lord Heron	Tracked into the race just behind the pace and did little when it mattered 6.6L at Aquis Park Gold Coast Bm72 over 1200m. Led throughout, fought on bravely considering 2.8L at Kensington Highway-C3 over 1400m Heavy 8.
2. Rockarosa	Only just missed last start, finishing a neck back from the winner at Wagga Wagga but no wins in three past runs at Rosehill. Up in trip. Appears tested.
3. Perfect Pitch	Behind midfield, wide, big outside run home 0.4L at Warwick Farm F&M Bm72 over 1600m. Well back, wound up wide 600m, running on too late 2L at Royal Randwick H'way-C2 over 1300m. Has a history of running well at this track/distance.
4. Proven Class	Let-up for six weeks and two wins from six attempts this campaign. Returns to shorter trip. Chance.
5. Banger	Short back-up of seven days. Finished in the middle of the pack last start at Randwick on a soft track and up in journey. Will take a power of beating.
6. King's Trust	Won once this prep at Newcastle four runs back and ran three lengths back from the winner last start at Randwick on a heavy track. Likes a softer track. Can surprise.
7. Mother's Mercy	Can't knock the form with two wins from three attempts this campaign but finished seventh last start at Randwick. Won three of four as a favourite. Among the main chances.
8. Costas	Amongst the placegetters last start running second at Randwick on a heavy track. Expected to be a contender.
9. Rich And Shameless	Got the campaign off to a strong start winning when fresh but ran sixth last start at Randwick on a heavy track. Rates highly with Louise Day aboard but looking elsewhere.
10. Successful Day	Won once this prep at Canberra two runs back and faded to finish four lengths off the winner last start at Canberra. Runs well with the sting out of the ground but still hard to have.
11. Velaro	Finished fourth last start at Gilgandra on a soft track and placed once this prep at Scone. Likely to race on the speed. Cannot entertain.
12. In Heart's Wake	Has placed in two runs from three this campaign and drawn the rails. Won't be far away in the run. Place chance.
13. Designer Dance	Just missed at long odds last start at Randwick and has three placings from five runs this prep. Up in distance. One for wider exotics.
14. Maid Marilyn	Got going late into sixth place after needing a binoculars to find it at the 400m 3.3L at Taree Bm58 over 1000m Heavy 10. Settled a long way back but sustained a long run to finish off hard 1.3L at Taree Bm66 over 1300m Heavy 10.
15. Embezzlement	Under hard riding to make ground from midfield when settled on sixth 3.2L at Canberra Bm60 over 1200m. Disappointed after finding a nice seat on the pace 6.5L at Moruya Cl3 over 1200m Soft 7. Performs well at this track/distance.
16. Smart Style	Short back-up of seven days and conditions a concern. Up in distance. Prefer others.
