DWTS – PUNTERS FORM GUIDE from SPORTINGBET AUSTRALIA
Charli & Csaba – Fun, bouncy, personality driven performance – in with a chance – punters take note. Charli knows her way round the stage and the camera loves her. Should be a vote winner amongst the mums and the dads will like her foxy-umm- foxtrot too. (Hi 5 fans are still too young to vote).
James & Jade – Not lacking in confidence or personality, but will have to rely on the powerful Sunrise vote until his technique catches up with the hype. (James – note to self – must think about where feet will end up, as well as where hands will end up at the end of each lift. Remember Jade’s mum is watching and so are the judges).
Brooke and John Paul – The gold medal winner looked like a fish out of water (actually looked more like a mermaid in that blue sequined dress) – this contest saw her treading water at the deep end of the pool.
Danny & Natalie – A true contender – one to be watched and has scored a vote-winning partner in Natalie. Gave a muscular, compelling performance… (but Danny – you can’t wear pants as tight as that and expect to hide the mic pack down the back).
Cal & Craig – Goose-stepped through the cha cha cha. We don’t think she’ll be first out the door, but she might be second. Outclassed by the competition.
Red & Ana – Red has the support of a national audience and will win the grey vote for the series, but his choreographer needs to step back a little – Ana outdanced him (which wasn’t hard), but the choreographer is supposed to make their celebrity partner look good. And we agree with Bruno – “More dancing – less panto” (or was that less panting?).
Luke & Luda – Luke will bring home the teen soapie vote – so we can’t dismiss him out of hand, even though he needs to learn how to dance. Will provide eye candy for the girls, but really Helen – a 7 for his first performance? Gave Todd the opportunity for the quip of the night – by dancing so stiffly he looked like he’d taken “theatrical Viagra”, and then new host Daniel followed up with a “Quick – get into the green room before it kicks in.”
Paul & Eliza – Paul was very inch the competitor, but frankly we thought he danced like Collingwood played on Saturday (knew all the steps, but missed a few goals) – those high-scoring judges must all be closet Magpies fans. But we would never underestimate Licuria’s determination or Collingwood fans’ ability to text 4 letter words. He just needs enough of them to text his name in.
Toni & Henry – Toni is the runaway favourite with Sportingbet Australia after showing us her winning style on the dance floor. Her hot cha cha earned her a standing ovation and for once we had to agree with flamboyant judge Bruno – that was one “raunchy bitch of a cha cha” – she “scorched the floor.”
Jodi & Stefano – She certainly acts like a good dancer – if she can free up her foot work, she will go a long way in the competition. Historically Soapie stars do well in this competition. The Sportingbet jury is out on this one. We need to see her step out again. Should improve from the run.
