Leading online bookmaker Sportsbet is tipping that it will be a tough year in front of goal for Rugby League convert Israel Folau after opening a market on how many goals the GWS Giant will kick in 2012.

Folau kicking between zero and 10 goals is the $1.80 favourite closely followed by him kicking between 11 and 20 majors at $1.95 before a huge jump to the next option in the market.

$10 is on offer for Folau to find the big sticks between 21 and 30 times, $26 for between 31 and 40 goals while 41 goals or more is the $51 outsider.

“It is going to be very steep learning curve for the youngsters and Izzy this year so we think he will tally somewhere between zero and twenty goals for the year,” sportsbet.com.au’s Ben Hawes said. “We hope he is a huge success in AFL and kicks a swag of goals and proves us wrong.”

Folau is a $251 chance to win the AFL’s Coleman Medal for most goals for the season.
